Mac color calibration for color blind6/28/2023 If you don’t press the Option key when clicking Calibrate, the calibration tool opens with fewer options if you’re going to do this, you might as well use all available adjustments. The Display Calibrator Assistant opens and walks you through the process. If anyone has an alternative way to restore the current account's display settings to the old account, please let me know b/c I would hate to have to complete this transition to an entirely new account. On the Color tab, press the Option key and click Calibrate. An interesting observation is that the other profiles I set up are accessible from this account, and when chosen look much closer to normal than in the previous account, where it was as if the white point or brightness was increased quite a bit, creating almost a white-out effect on the brushed metal interfaces, aqua buttons, and worst of all webpages with whites and grays (like ), where I could barely make out the silhouette of the Mighty mouse. The display settings for this "Test" account I set up and have begun using more and more has the original calibration set up and looks perfect. One less than perfect solution I've come up with is creating a new account. No dedicated gaming display that I'm aware of uses this, but some of LG's Ultrafine displays with basic Freesync support do support hardware calibration (advertised as True Color Pro in select models). Unfortunately, it appears that one of the profiles I changed was the factory setting, and the original factory setting has been saved over. Second, it applies to all inputs, whereas a color profile only works for the connected/calibrated system.
